Brian Williams

Manager, CO2 Geological Storage, British Petroleum (BP), United Kingdom

D. Brian Williams is CO2 Storage Manager in the global Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Technology team of BP Alternative Energy. He is responsible for the technology development, as well as for supporting business development efforts, for the future storage of CO2 in the subsurface.
Brian has been with Sohio and BP since 1984, where he has worked in a variety of reservoir engineering, commercial and subsurface management and functional roles on Prudhoe Bay Alaska, UK North Sea, US Deepwater GOM and Egypt Gulf of Suez.

Brian has an educational background in mechanical/petroleum engineering and business/finance, having earned BS and MS degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the University of Houston.
