Joanna Lewis
Senior International Fellow, Pew Center on Global Climate Change, USA
Dr. Joanna Lewis is the Senior International Fellow at the Pew Center on Global Climate Change where she conducts research and analysis on international climate change policy issues, and facilitates dialogues with governments and stakeholders. She is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service in the Science, Technology and International Affairs program.
From 2000-2005, Dr. Lewis worked with the China Energy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and from 2003-2004 she was a visiting scholar at the Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy at Tsinghua University in Beijing. She has conducted extensive research on China's energy system and on policy options to promote renewable energy utilization, and assists the Energy Foundation China Sustainable Energy Program in providing renewable energy policy design guidance to the Chinese government. She holds a Master's and Ph. D. in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University.
