Robert Nasi
Principal Scientist, Biodiversity and Forested Landscapes, CIFOR and Head of Research Unit, Public Policies and Forest Resources, CIRAD, France
Robert Nasi is born in 1959 in Nice. He graduated as a forest engineer from the French National Forestry School and achieved a PhD in the field of ecology from the University of Paris Sud - Orsay. He has been undertaking research activities in the fields of ecology and management of tropical forests since 1982.
He spent several years living and travelling extensively in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. He is currently principal scientist in the programme "Environmental Services and Sustainable Uses of Forests" of CIFOR and head of the research unit "Forest resources and public policies" in CIRAD.
