Pierre Marc Johnson

Lawyer, physician, Former Premier of Québec and Former Professor of Law at McGill University. Of Counsel since 1996 to the offices of HEENAN BLAIKIE (a large Canadian Attorney's firm with offices in Québec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia) where he acts as Lead Counsel in negotiations, mediations involving International Commercial Partnerships, International Trade, Environment and Health. He serves on Corporate Boards as a Director. He has executed mandates for major public policy institutions. He has a wide experience of international negotiations with the United Nations on Environmental and Developmental issues.

He lectures in North America, Latin America and Europe on the workings and effects of globalization. He is the Author of a textbook and many essays on issues related to trade and the Environment and the non commercial agenda of Globalization. He was founding member and Vice-Chairman of the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy and chaired its Foreign Policy Committee. Mr. Johnson has an honorary doctorate of Claude Bernard University of Lyon, France. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and a Grand Officier de l'Ordre de la Pléiade.
