Economic contestability of the recycler: inputs market and local assets
Study of the input branch of activity enables underlining three characteristics relevant to the siting of the recycling activity: (i) the potential of the collection area around the recycling activity (ii) restrictions on access to the resources present in that area and which define the input market and (iii) the equipment, in terms of the means of communication (road, rail, etc.) used to transfer the materials from their sources to the processing site.
