Managing the risk of social contestation by anticipating it
Actively anticipating the risks an operator poses to the community may be the result of a high sensitivity to threat, which in turn derives from the assets necessary for the business and the business horizon that those assets imply. This sensitivity may be increased by previous experience of crises or episodes where there is no decisive scientific evidence about the collective risks generated by the firm's processes or its products.
