Conditions favourable for a social contestation to a business activity

The analysis makes it clear that the need rely on certain specific assets reduces the degree of internal or external economic contestability of the recycler. At the same time, these assets also foster the growth of a contestation to the activies on health or environmental grounds, so the probability of an emerging local opposition to the business is affected by whether or not it possesses these assets.
