Mohamed Larbi Bouguerra

Mohamed Larbi Bouguerra, born in Tunisia, studied geography, pedagogy and psychology at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (U.S.) and earned a doctorate in physical sciences in 1967 at the Sorbonne, Paris (France).

He held a research fellowship with INSERM (Créteil Hospital) and lectured at the Paris Medical School before becoming professor at the Science Faculty (Tunis) where he taught organic and environmental chemistry. He directed successively the Technological Institute for Art, Architecture and Urbanism (Tunis) and the National Institute of Tunisia for Scientific and Technical research. He conducted research at the CNRS (Centre National de Recherche Scientifique - French Scientific Research Centre) and is now visiting professor at the Senghor French speaking International University, Alexandria.

Mohamed Larbi Bouguerra is a consultant with WHO (Ecotoxicology) and UNESCO. He heads the World Water Program of the Alliance for a Responsible Plural and United World.

He has published a dozen books including "Les batailles de l'eau.Pour un bien commun de l'humanité", Editions de l'Atelier, Paris, 2003 and "La consommation assassine ou comment le mode de vie des uns ruine celui des autres. Pistes pour une consommation responsable" (translated and adapted from English), Editions Charles-Léopold Mayer, Paris,2006.
