Institut Veolia Environnement

The Institut Veolia Environnement

The Institut Veolia Environnement is a non-profit organization created in September 2001 by the management of Veolia Environnement. They were convinced at that time that an external structure dedicated to foresight reflection could bring insightful analysis on tomorrow's environmental challenges.

The Institute aims to highlight the major changes currently occurring at the interface between society and the environment. It also provides a platform for dialogue and reflection and acts as an active connection between the international scientific community, civil society and the economy.

Forecasting orientations

The work of the Institut Veolia Environnement since its creation has brought out certain major trends in environmental issues, and more widely, sustainable development.

These trends will probably shape the framework in which the world's view of the environment evolves. They are clearly the main orientations that the Institut Veolia Environnement must examine more fully.
