Bernard Saint-André

Bernard SAINT-ANDRE, 60, is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and the « Corps des Ponts et Chaussées ». He began his career in France in 1971 as an urban planner, then was engaged in civil engineering for all kind of infrastructure projects : highways, bridges, harbours.

He held senior positions in the Port of Marseille Authority, as Infrastructure and Technical Projects Director and later Operations Director.

In 1986, he moved to the United States as General Manager of one of Rhône-Poulenc's divisions. Back in Paris, he joined Compagnie Générale des Eaux and from 1990 to 1998 was in charge of managing international development for Energy.

He then became special advisor for strategic development to Dalkia's Chairman (Dalkia was the Energy Subsidiary of then Vivendi, to-day Véolia Environment).

Since 2001 he is Dalkia's Director of Strategy, and supervises Energy market operations and Research and Development. He has accumulated a strong expertise in Energy markets, Energy savings programs, and renewable Energies, with a very international vision.
