Robert Prolman

Robert (Bob) Prolman is Director, International Environmental Affairs for Weyerhaeuser Company. He is responsible for providing company managers with environmental related information in support of strategic planning and decision making and for assisting the company's businesses in aligning their operations with current and emerging international environmental laws, regulations and with customer and market-driven environmental performance expectations. He also manages the Company's activities in the emerging greenhouse gas and related emissions credits markets, and advises Company leaders on matters involving corporate environmental policy and related governance standards.

Prior to joining Weyerhaeuser Company, Bob held senior positions with an international environmental consulting firm, the US House of Representatives, the National Commission on Water Quality, and the New England Interstate Water Quality Commission. Bob began his career as an engineering technician for a Massachusetts-based pulp & paper company. He is a native of Massachusetts and holds a B. Sc. degree from Northeastern University; Boston, Massachusetts, an MBA (Finance) degree from George Washington University; Washington, D. C. and a Graduate Certificate in Personal Financial Planning, City University, Bellevue, WA.

His publications include "The Globalization of Environment and Trade," (2001), which received the TAPPI 2001 Best Paper Award, and "Climate Change: A Common Sense View From The Forest," (2002) co-authored with George Weyerhaeuser Jr.
