Following the publication on February 10 of our special issue produced in collaboration with Microsoft and titled “Artificial Intelligence for Energy, Water, and Waste”—[available here](https://www.institut.veolia.org/en/publications/veolia-institute-review-facts-reports/ai-energy-water-and-waste-management)—the Veolia Institute was pleased to host a special conference on February 19, 2026, at the Collège des Bernardins in Paris’s 5th arrondissement. Our experts explored the potential benefits of AI for the ecological transition in light of concerns raised by its carbon footprint and its growing demand for energy, water, and precious metals.
