Screening-debate: Leurs champs du Coeur

projection-debat

On Wednesday 17th of December 2025, the Veolia Institute and the Collectif Roots are pleased to invite you to a screening-debate dedicated to the following theme:

How can we ensure high-quality, environmentally friendly food production that is profitable for those who produce it and affordable to the greatest number?

The documentary “Leurs Champs du Coeur - Le Vrai Coût de Notre Alimentation” is a trip around France, meeting fifteen farmers that talk about their challenges, potential solutions and of the beauty of their job.

They provide sincere, moving testimonials that incite a collective reflection and encourage initiatives to improve our food systems.

The screening will be followed by a debate. Its purpose is to discuss ways to meet the following objectives, usually considered as contradictory:

  • Producing high-quality, environmentally friendly food,
  • Ensuring fair remuneration to farmers,
  • Maintaining affordable prices to consumers.

We are pleased to receive at the debate’s roundtable:

  • Mickaël Denis-Shi: Film director of the documentary Leurs Champs du Coeur and director of France Nature Environnement Ile de France

  • Maëlenn Poitrenaud: Head of Research and Innovation at the Agricultural expertise of Veolia France

  • Jean Baptiste Faure: Head of the "Ferme de Gally" in Saint-Denis.

This event will be accessible remotely and in person for Veolia employees and IN PERSON ONLY for non-Veolia employees. Register via THIS LINK.

The Veolia Institute is very thankful to the Collectif Racines and to Mr Denis-Shi, Ms Poitrenaud and Mr Faure for their involvement in this project.
